I purchased the original version. I liked that the screen stayed on. I HATED the alligator clip, it was plastic and didn't have enough of a grip. In fact, that's why I bought this second production of the wireless headset. One day, the Sony headset clip couldn't hold on to my shirt, damn clip, fell to the ground and before I knew it, I stepped on it and broke the screen.
I bought the second production of the Sony headset because I thought they may have made changes. They did, now its worse. But thank goodness the clip is EXACTLY THE SAME :( Can you believe it. The clip holds to your shirt, but there is no guarantee it'll stay on... Unless you don't walk with it clipped on, or if every few minutes, you keep checking to see if it's still there.
This new version now has a power saving feature, the screen keeps turning off. Which I honestly HATE. I liked seeing the screen. If I'm listening to the radio, it would show you the name of the song. It still does it, but now you have to keep pressing the volume to read it. Also, if you're changing settings, you better hurry up, or the screen turns off.
I did research and found nothing about turning off the screen power saving.
It works, its just not very user friendly. I wish the designers would have actually used it before selling it.
